Afghanistan is gripped by an overwhelming humanitarian crisis, with over 90% of its people living below the poverty line. Decades of conflict have left families struggling to survive, deprived of basic necessities like food, healthcare, and education. Children and women face the brunt of this adversity, battling malnutrition and displacement in a country where hope is scarce.
Our work reaches out to low-income families, children suffering from severe malnutrition, and displaced people in drought-prone and conflict-affected regions. These communities are desperate for relief, often caught in cycles of hunger, disease, and despair.
Afghanistan faces a devastating hunger crisis, with 14 million people enduring severe food insecurity. Mothers go to bed hungry to feed their children, while 45% of children under five suffer from stunted growth due to malnutrition (World Food Programme). Families displaced by violence often have no shelter, and their access to food and clean water is virtually non-existent.
Tayyab Trust has delivered lifesaving meals to thousands of Afghan families, offering sustenance
and hope amidst relentless hardship. Through our targeted programs, we have alleviated hunger
and brought moments of comfort to children and parents who had almost lost all hope.
